_ Silk interlining: This type comes in all colors in the market and is usually used to increase the strength of the fabric’s weave. Some fabrics, like chiffon, do not have good strength or rigidity and may get damaged when a needle passes through. Therefore, it is better to reinforce them first with matching silk interlining before cutting and sewing.
_ Persia fusible interlining: Available in various colors, with white and black being the most common. The important point when using this interlining is to wash it before use. By doing so, shrinkage occurs beforehand, leaving you with the correct measurement. In terms of thickness, it is offered in both light and heavy types. Persia and Geriveh interlinings are similar to silk interlinings but stronger. They are usually used in evening gowns to add thickness and better drape. _ Jersey fusible interlining: Also known as silk interlining, it is one of the most widely used interlinings. This type of interlining has good elasticity and, if necessary, can be used across the entire fabric. _ Zanfiks fusible interlining: Its unique feature is that both sides are adhesive. Recently, a new form of this type has been introduced in powdered form and packaged in ointment-like containers.
_ Paper fusible interlining: This is the only interlining that does not shrink. However, do not expose it to steam from an iron. Dry irons or calors irons are more suitable for working with paper interlining. It is usually used for fabrics like cotton, twill, etc., and its width is 90 cm.
_ Solica interlining: This type is very stiff, strong, and starched. It is thicker compared to other interlinings and is used where complete rigidity of clothing is required. Common uses include men’s shirt collars and cuffs.
_ Langan fusible interlining: This type has medium thickness, making it suitable for heavy and winter clothing. Its adhesive is also raised and strong, helping it bond better to the fabric. It is also used in the waistband of men’s trousers.

Points to Consider When Choosing Diba Fusible Interlining
Diba fusible interlining is a type of fabric with adhesive on one side. Fusible interlinings are produced in different types and offered to customers. The main function of interlining is to increase the strength of fabric, but obviously, each type has different uses. Therefore, when buying and choosing, we must keep certain points in mind:
- Thickness and fabric type: You must ensure that the interlining is thinner than the main fabric. For example, you cannot apply Solica interlining to chiffon. The fabric material is also important; you must select an interlining that matches the fabric type and weave.
- Type of garment use: When choosing Diba fusible interlining, consider the purpose of the garment. For everyday clothing, use regular interlinings, while for evening gowns, choose more durable ones.

How to Apply Different Types of Diba Fusible Interlining to Fabric
To apply different types of Diba fusible interlining to fabric, it is best to first wash the interlining (all types except paper) to determine its shrinkage. Next, place the adhesive side of the interlining against the back of the fabric and secure it with a few pins to prevent shifting.
Then, set the iron to steam mode and use a pressing motion (lifting and placing) to fuse the interlining. Do not slide the iron, as the adhesive may cause wrinkles.
For large-scale applications, it is better to use a dry-cleaner because their ironing surfaces are larger, resulting in better quality bonding. For example, for applying silk, Persia, or Geriveh interlining across the entire fabric surface, it is best to go to a dry-cleaner.
